Tamy

Born in Moldova in 1984, Tami arrived Israel in 1990 and lives today in Hadera. She paints under the tutelage of Master Painter Edouard Grossman.

2006 – Group Exhibition, Castra, Haifa

Tami’s paintings are a kaleidoscope of emotion, reflecting the tensions between her inner and outer worlds.

Since her works do not fall into any conventional 20th century art framework, one finds in them Fantasy and Legend and Nature in its fullest beauty: sea, stones, spring, summer, autumn.

Tami works in the Fantasy genre, but without limits or improvisational rules: the abstract melds into expressionism and from thence into new expressionism.

Her art draws the viewer to it, imparting warmth. This is post-modernism heated up by the Israeli sun and emerging as new expressionism.

Tami’s art borders on other genres, creating a feeling of reality. Her paintings are similar yet different, part of a unified whole but each with a personality of its own. They embody the full spectrum of colours from which her improvisation and new expressionism is derived.

Here’s what Tami says about her own art:

“In my paintings I want to express the world around me. I want to convey calm, peace, harmony, yet also the pain and anger and panoply of emotions that is found in man and is reflected in nature. I try to convey these through colour, and only through abstract art is this possible. Through the colours I want the viewer to feel a sense of beauty that cannot be expressed in words.”

Tami’s paintings come to life through the eyes of the viewer who is given a window into her inner world, a world of emotion conveyed through colour.

Her paintings breathe a unique refreshing air into an ancient and rich world of art.
